10mm: Mini Metallic
Hot-molded float glass for a smooth surface and edges is then backed with coloured and textured foils and glitters. Sold loose, these mini sparkling tiles will add a shimmer and shine to your designs. We love them and think you will too! There are 4 collections in this series:
1) Mini Foils have been an instant hit. More subtle than glitter with a delicate metallic effect, these tiles add a touch of luxury and richness to mosaic projects. These tiles are frost-resistant but may fade when used in direct sunlight. While we have tested them for durability in sunlight and they have held up well, we cannot recommend them for long-term use in direct sunlight.
2) Mini Glitter are a longstanding favourite but there popularity is waning as they are not as durable as the Mini Gleam collection. Do not use outside or inside in direct sunlight.
3) Mini Gleam are our newest addition and are designed with a more UV resistant and durable micro glitter to retain the richness of the colour for longer. More subtle than glitter with a delicate metallic effect, these tiles are frost-resistant we have not tested them for long durations so please use in indirect sunlight only or perform your own tests.
4) Mini Electroplated tiles are glass that is covered in a thin layer of metal through the electroplating process. This finish is durable but may dull or fade with contact from cleaning chemicals or salts. They can be used outdoors but may become slightly less shiny over time due to weathering.
